Battle Tendency (戦闘潮流, Sentō Chōryū?), initially referred to as Dai Ni Bu Joseph Joestar: Sono Hokoritakaki Kettō (第二部 ジョセフ・ジョースター ―その誇り高き血統―, Dai Ni Bu Josefu Jōsutā Sono Hokoritakaki Kettō?, lit. "Part 2 Joseph Joestar: His Proud Lineage"), is the second story arc of the manga series JoJo's Bizarre Adventure written and illustrated by Hirohiko Araki. It was serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump from 1987 to 1989.

Famous quotes containing the words battle and/or tendency:
“Forty years after a battle it is easy for a noncombatant to reason about how it ought to have been fought. It is another thing personally and under fire to have to direct the fighting while involved in the obscuring smoke of it.”
—Herman Melville (18191891)
“The world-spirit is a good swimmer, and storms and waves can not drown him. He snaps his fingers at laws; and so, throughout history, heaven seems to affect low and poor means. Through the years and the centuries, through evil agents, through toys and atoms, a great and beneficent tendency irresistibly streams.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
