In 1975 while on crutches, Sheene met fashion turned glamour model Stephanie McLean, who was Penthouse Pet of the Month for April 1970 and Pet of the Year in 1971, while they were working together on a photoshot for Chrysler. After she had divorced her first husband, the couple married in 1984, and had two children, a son and a daughter.
