Barrin Simpson (born October 1, 1977, in St. Louis, Missouri) is a Canadian Football League linebacker who is currently a free agent. He most recently played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders but was released on December 6, 2011. Simpson has previously played for the BC Lions and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Simpson is a minister in the off-season, hence his nickname The Minister of Defence.
