Bandwidth Throttling - Network Neutrality

Network Neutrality

Network neutrality is the guiding principle that preserves the free and open Internet. Net Neutrality means that Internet service providers may not discriminate between different kinds of content and applications online. It guarantees a level playing field for all Web sites and Internet technologies. With Net Neutrality, the network's only job is to move data—not to choose which data to privilege with higher quality service.

Famous quotes containing the words network and/or neutrality:

Parents need all the help they can get. The strongest as well as the most fragile family requires a vital network of social supports.
    Bernice Weissbourd (20th century)

My father and I were always on the most distant terms when I was a boy—a sort of armed neutrality, so to speak. At irregular intervals this neutrality was broken, and suffering ensued; but I will be candid enough to say that the breaking and the suffering were always divided up with strict impartiality between us—which is to say, my father did the breaking, and I did the suffering.
Mark Twain [Samuel Langhorne Clemens] (1835–1910)
