Bandar Bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud - Personal Life

Personal Life

Prince Bandar bin Abdulaziz's sons have served in both governmental and military posts. His son, Prince Faisal, was previously deputy governor of Asir Province. He has been the governor of Al-Qassim Province since 1992.

His other son Prince Abdulaziz was deputy chief of Intelligence Presidency and his term lasted until 5 October 2012 when he resigned from the post. Another son, Prince Mansour, is an air force officer. He served as the commander of the F-15 squadron at the Dhahran airbase in early 1980s. It is reported that Prince Mansour had intense business contacts with Prince Turki bin Nasser while both serving in the royal air force. It is further argued that Mansour bin Bandar declined the change of his post as the base commander in Taif due to his business activities in the Eastern Province. Khalid bin Bandar is a military officer, specifically Lieutenant General and commander of Royal Land Forces. He served in the G3 armor corps at the Saudi Arabian Land Forces (SALF) in early 1980s.

In accordance with both family and tribal tradition, Bandar bin Abdulaziz is believed to enjoy a great deal of influence in the Kingdom.

Famous quotes containing the words personal life, personal and/or life:

He hadn’t known me fifteen minutes, and yet he was ... ready to talk ... I was still to learn that Munshin, like many people from the capital, could talk openly about his personal life while remaining a dream of espionage in his business operations.
    Norman Mailer (b. 1923)

The primary imperative for women who intend to assume a meaningful and decisive role in today’s social change is to begin to perceive themselves as having an identity and personal integrity that has as strong a claim for being preserved intact as that of any other individual or group.
    Margaret Adams (b. 1916)

Helpless, unknown, and unremembered, most human beings, however sensitive, idealistic, intelligent, go through life as passengers rather than chauffeurs. Although we may pretend that it is the chauffeur who is the social inferior ... most of us, like Toad of Toad Hall, would not mind a turn at the wheel ourselves.
    Ralph Harper (b. 1915)
