Baid
Baid are a gotra found among both Hindus of India and Pakistan. Horace Arthur Rose noted them as being of the "Oswal Bhabras, Mohyal Brahmins and other castes", and that the term is also used generally to refer to people who practice Vedic medicine. Robert Vane Russell noted that the term referred to physicians and was a surname used in Saugur by Maratha and Sanadya Brahmans, as well as being a gotra of the Oswal and the Darzi.
