Bad Taste Records is a record label based in Lund, Sweden.
The record label was one of the first labels to establish in the Swedish punk rock and punk/hardcore scene in the early 1990s, together with Burning Heart Records. The name of the label originated from the movie Bad Taste by Peter Jackson.
The first release was put out in 1994, the EP Skate to Hell by Satanic Surfers. For a couple of years, they worked together with the record shop Love Your Records.
Today, the label has somewhat diversified, drifting from their original exclusive punk/hardcore orientation towards a more rock/emo/rap orientation.

Famous quotes containing the words bad taste, bad, taste and/or records:
“To achieve harmony in bad taste is the height of elegance.”
—Jean Genet (19101986)
“First, whenever a man talks loudly against religion, always suspect that it is not his reason, but his passions, which have got the better of his creed. A bad life and a good belief are disagreeable and troublesome neighbours, and where they separate, depend upon it, tis for no other cause but quietness sake.”
—Laurence Sterne (17131768)
“Every work of art should give utterance, or indicate, the awful blind strength and the cruelty of the creative impulse, that is why they must all have what are called errors, both of taste and style.”
—Christina Stead (19021983)
“My confessions are shameless. I confess, but do not repent. The fact is, my confessions are prompted, not by ethical motives, but intellectual. The confessions are to me the interesting records of a self-investigator.”
—W.N.P. Barbellion (18891919)
