Atomic Events
At the end of 2005 Atomic ventured into new territory by hosting "Atomic Live", a PC gaming and technology expo in Sydney, Australia. The event culminated in the evening with a presentation of industry awards and a celebration of the magazine's 5th birthday.
Although a subsequent Atomic Live was announced in early 2006, it was postponed due to key product launch delays in the PC and gaming industry.
Between 2010 and 2011 Atomic MPC hosted a range of events across Australia including the 2010 Power to the PC Tour, Atomic Unlocked 2010, Revolver Sydney 2011 and Revolver Melbourne 2011.
On the 12th November, 2011 Atomic joined with Monash University’s Faculty of Information Technology to present AtomicCon 2011; an event which took place at Monash University’s Caulfield Campus for technology and gaming enthusiasts. Participants were treated to presentations by some of the best game publishers in Australia as well as leading suppliers of information technology equipment, and additionally, participants were also able to play recently released games.

Famous quotes containing the words atomic and/or events:
“The pace of science forces the pace of technique. Theoretical physics forces atomic energy on us; the successful production of the fission bomb forces upon us the manufacture of the hydrogen bomb. We do not choose our problems, we do not choose our products; we are pushed, we are forcedby what? By a system which has no purpose and goal transcending it, and which makes man its appendix.”
—Erich Fromm (19001980)
“Nothing that grieves us can be called little: by the eternal laws of proportion a childs loss of a doll and a kings loss of a crown are events of the same size.”
—Mark Twain [Samuel Langhorne Clemens] (18351910)
