Atlantic University College (AUC) is the first and only university established in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. It was founded in 1983 by Dr. Teresa de Dios Unanue and Colonel Ramón M. Barquín.
AUC is one of the only universities in the Caribbean specializing in digital arts education in all of its forms.
Until 2011, Atlantic University College was also the only university in Puerto Rico to be awarded an Emmy award for Technical Achievement.
