Early Life and Education
Arthur Robinson was born in Chicago. He received a B.S. in chemistry from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) in 1963, and a Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of California, San Diego in 1968. His doctorial thesis was titled, Experiments on the synthesis and spectral characterization of cytochrome-related molecules.
