Famous quotes containing the words personal, life and/or death:

    Samuel Sewall, in a world of wigs,
    Flouted opinion in his personal hair;
    For foppery he gave not any figs,
    But in his right and honor took the air.

I hope we shall now see it so established, as that when I retire, it may be under full security that we are to continue free and happy.
    Thomas Jefferson (1743–1826)

    Cowards die many times before their deaths;
    The valiant never taste of death but once.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)
