IBM has its world headquarters in Armonk. In addition M. E. Sharpe also has its headquarters in Armonk. The second biggest reinsurance company in the world, Swiss Re, has its America headquarters in Armonk, since 1999. It was extended in 2004 and houses more than 1.200 employees. The 127-acre site overlooks Westchester County’s Kensico Reservoir.
