Arindam Roy, born on 29th March and brought up in Cuttack. He is an Economics graduate from Christ College, Cuttack and has a degree from the Utkal University, Bhubaneswar. He was supposed to made his debut in Director Ghanteshwar Guru's Oriya film "I'm Sorry". However, for some reasons that film couldn't completed and he finally made his debut with Prema Rutu Asilare and Bengali film Takkar (2008). He uses the name Rishi Roy for Bengali Film Industry.
