Arborophila

Arborophila is a genus of bird in the Phasianidae family. It is a very diverse genus, having the second most members within the Galliformes after Francolinus. These are fairly small, often brightly marked partridges found in forests of eastern and southern Asia. Some species in this genus have small ranges, and are threatened by habitat loss and hunting.
