Wilderness Areas
There are four officially designated wilderness areas within Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest that are part of the National Wilderness Preservation System. All lie within the former Apache National Forest section, except for a small portion of one, which extends into neighboring Gila National Forest in New Mexico.
- Bear Wallow Wilderness
- Blue Range Wilderness (partly in Gila NF)
- Escudilla Wilderness
- Mount Baldy Wilderness
