Personal Life
Fuqua was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, graduating from Taylor Allderdice High School in 1983. Fuqua attended West Virginia University and West Virginia State University but did not graduate. His uncle was singer, songwriter, record producer, and record label executive Harvey Fuqua, who himself was the nephew of Charlie Fuqua of the Ink Spots.
He married popular actress Lela Rochon in April 1999.
