Personal Life
She married Alan Keen, who sat as a Labour MP from 1992 until his death in 2011, in 1980. Her sister, Sylvia Heal, also a former Labour MP, was one of three Deputy Speakers of the House of Commons under Speaker John Bercow. Keen has two sons and one daughter. She had one of her sons adopted and was reunited with him in 1997.
