Philippine General Election, 2010
Church-based political party Kapatiran, led by founder Nandy Pacheco, on October 1, 2008, launched its campaign for Philippine general election, 2010 at Iloilo City at the national convention of the Philippines' Pontifical Council for the Laity. Party secretary-general Eric Manalang announced it will field 4,020 candidates, focusing its campaign in 200 towns and cities with the biggest percentage of young voters. Kapatiran fielded 30 candidates in Philippine general election, 2007, but only John Carlos de los Reyes won, as second as Olongapo City councilor. It will placed 200 training centers nationwide.
On March 4, 2010, senatorial candidate Zosimo Paredes transferred to Bangon Pilipinas Party of Bro. Eddie Villanueva.
