Action Committees
AMSA has ten Action Committees (AC's). While the Board of Trustees governs the organization, the Action Committees produce ideas and projects. They promote these areas of interest and associated projects to AMSA members on national, regional and local levels and are integral in helping AMSA maintain its view of medicine.

Famous quotes containing the words action and/or committees:
“Without our being especially conscious of the transition, the word parent has gradually come to be used as much as a verb as a noun. Whereas we formerly thought mainly about being a parent, we now find ourselves talking about learning how to parent. . . . It suggests that we may now be concentrating on action rather than status, on what we do rather than what or who we are.”
—Bettye M. Caldwell (20th century)
“... in the minds of search committees there is the lingering question: Can she manage the football coach?”
—Donna E. Shalala (b. 1941)
