Alitalia Airport

Alitalia Airport was a subsidiary of Alitalia - Linee Aeree Italiane which had the task of coordinating the function of handling passenger service and aircraft of Alitalia, its partners and third party customers.

Established in July 2000, Alitalia Airport was present in five airports, four Italian (Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport, Catania, Naples and Palermo) and London Heathrow Airport.

At Fontanarossa airport (Catania), the company also ran the Lost and Found for about 80% of the luggage in transit in Catania.

The last day of operation was 11 January 2009. After that activities, assets and staff formed part of Alitalia-Compagnia Aerea Italiana.
