Born in Windsor, Berkshire, to Paula C. Marriott and Nicholas P. Bastian. Bastian has one younger brother, Nicholas Ruel Bastian (born 13 March 1986). Bastian was raised in Cookham and Maidenhead in Berkshire, and Marlow in Buckinghamshire.
