Boundaries
Aldridge-Brownhills constituency was created in 1974 from parts of the seats of Walsall North and Walsall South. It is one of three constituencies covering the Metropolitan Borough of Walsall. It covers the north-east and east of the borough, and consists of 6 wards - Aldridge Central and South, Aldridge North & Walsall Wood, Brownhills, Rushall / Shelfield, Streetly and Pelsall. When held by the Labour Party the Constituency included the Pheasey Ward, at that time a Labour area, which was later moved into Walsall South.
Under the proposed change to the boundaries Aldridge - Brownhills will disappear. 5 wards will join with Bloxwich and Blakenall to become an enlarged Walsall North constituency. Whilst Streetly will be linked to various wards to become an enlarged Walsall South.
