Aftermath (American Band) - The Legal Battle and Mother God Moviestar

The Legal Battle and Mother God Moviestar

In January 1997 the group, retaining a stable lineup but augmenting their sound with the addition of DJ Delta 9 and female vocalist Roxanne, retitled themselves Mother God Moviestar, opting to pursue an alternative Rock direction.

Aftermath has continued to receive critical acclaim as one of the major influences in the genre. The band is featured on pages 9 and 10 of Gary Sharpe-Young's A - Z of Thrash Metal, available on Cherry Red Books.

Famous quotes containing the words legal, battle, mother and/or god:

    Hawkins: The will is not exactly in proper legal phraseology. Richard: No: my father died without the consolations of the law.
    George Bernard Shaw (1856–1950)

    Each reaching and aspiration is an instinct with which all nature consists and cöoperates, and therefore it is not in vain. But alas! each relaxing and desperation is an instinct too. To be active, well, happy, implies courage. To be ready to fight in a duel or a battle implies desperation, or that you hold your life cheap.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

    My mother protected me from the world and my father threatened me with it.
    Quentin Crisp (b. 1908)

    Lo, the poor Indian! whose untutor’d mind
    Sees God in clouds, or hears him in the wind;
    Alexander Pope (1688–1744)
