Created by Anthony Shubert in the mid to late 1990s, Acrophobia has similarities to the board game "Acronymble," which came on the market in 1991 and 2010 and is produced by Acronymwits Inc. Anthony Shubert now known as Andrea Jennifer Shubert works for play140 INC. and has developed a Twitter and Facebook version of the game.
