There are sixty ABC Local Radio stations, including 51 regional stations and 9 metropolitan stations. The metropolitan stations are:

- 891 ABC Adelaide (5AN)
- 720 ABC Perth (6WF)
- 936 ABC Hobart (7ZR)

- 105.7 ABC Darwin (8DDD)
- 1233 ABC Newcastle (2NC)
The metropolitan stations originate most of their own programming. The regional stations simulcast one of the metropolitan stations (usually the state capital station) most of the time, but produce limited programming of their own for one or two hours each day.
