Famous quotes containing the words fish and/or water:

    Come, thou shalt go home, and we’ll have flesh for holidays, fish for fasting-days, and moreo’er puddings and flap-jacks, and thou shalt be welcome.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)

    Rock of ages, cleft for me,
    Let me hide myself in thee!
    Let the water and the blood,
    From thy riven side which flowed,
    Be of sin the double cure;
    Cleanse me from its guilt and pow’r.
    Augustus Montague Toplady (1740–1778)
