8 Foot Sativa

8 Foot Sativa is a New Zealand-based metal band formed in 1998. Their most famous single is their self titled song, "8 Foot Sativa", which was number one on M2, a late night New Zealand music show's top 12 list for 12 weeks, and stayed on the chart for seven months. (M2 was a New Zealand late night Music Show.) The band has toured and released albums internationally, and have played alongside artists such as Fear Factory, Soulfly, Korn, Slipknot, System of a Down, Children of Bodom, Disturbed, Motörhead, Pungent Stench, Shihad and Corrosion of Conformity.

Since their formation, 8 Foot Sativa experienced many line-up changes, leaving guitarist Gary Smith and vocalist Jackhammer the only original members, claiming they've had "the line-up changes from hell".

Famous quotes containing the word foot:

There is a distinction to be drawn between true collectors and accumulators. Collectors are discriminating; accumulators act at random. The Collyer brothers, who died among the tons of newspapers and trash with which they filled every cubic foot of their house so that they could scarcely move, were a classic example of accumulators, but there are many of us whose houses are filled with all manner of things that we “can’t bear to throw away.”
    Russell Lynes (1910–1991)
