Its the previous instance of the wing was deactivated on 1 October 1994, after being re-designated the 653d Communications-Computer Systems Group on 1 October 1992, last stationed at Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, GA. The re-designated Wing activated in April 2006 at Hanscom Air Force Base to replace the Network Centric Operations and Integration Systems Wing.
