5/4 (Gorillaz Song) - Music Video

Music Video

Though the music video was never actually made, a storyboard from the Phase One DVD reveals what would have happened in the music video if it were made. The video begins with Gorillaz performing for a crowd upon a raised platform (the platform is in the shape of a bone). Murdoc is playing with the band when he sees a group of women on a platform next to theirs; however, it is too far away to get to. Murdoc then takes off his clothes until he is completely in breifs, and he attempts to jump to the platform with the women on it, but he fails to reach it and he falls into the crowd below.

Famous quotes containing the words music and/or video:

If mass communications blend together harmoniously, and often unnoticeably, art, politics, religion, and philosophy with commercials, they bring these realms of culture to their common denominator—the commodity form. The music of the soul is also the music of salesmanship. Exchange value, not truth value, counts.
    Herbert Marcuse (1898–1979)

We attempt to remember our collective American childhood, the way it was, but what we often remember is a combination of real past, pieces reshaped by bitterness and love, and, of course, the video past—the portrayals of family life on such television programs as “Leave it to Beaver” and “Father Knows Best” and all the rest.
    Richard Louv (20th century)
