Famous quotes containing the words home, army and/or division:
“There are things you just cant do in life. You cant beat the phone company, you cant make a waiter see you until hes ready to see you, and you cant go home again.”
—Bill Bryson (b. 1951)
“An army is maintained for a thousand days all to be used on one morning.”
—Chinese proverb.
“Slow, slow, fresh fount, keep time with my salt tears;
Yet slower yet, oh faintly gentle springs:
List to the heavy part the music bears,
Woe weeps out her division when she sings.
Droop herbs and flowers;
Fall grief in showers;
Our beauties are not ours:
Oh, I could still,
Like melting snow upon some craggy hill,
Drop, drop, drop, drop,
Since natures pride is, now, a withered daffodil.”
—Ben Jonson (15721637)
