The 27th Summer Universiade Kazan 2013 is a huge sporting event with over 13,500 University athletes from over 170 countries, participating in 27 different summer sports. The Universiade is organized by the International University Sports Federation (FISU) based in Lausanne, Switzerland. It was founded in 1962 and it is now the 2nd largest sport participation event in the world.
