See also: List of retired Pacific typhoon names (JMA) and List of retired Philippine typhoon namesDuring their 2013 annual session the ESCAP/WMO Typhoon Committee, announced that the name Bopha, would be retired from its naming lists. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) announced that the name Pablo would be stricken off from its naming lists due to its high death toll and damage. In February 2013, PAGASA selected the name Pepito to replace Pablo.
