Famous quotes containing the words world and/or men:
“But when did love not try to change
The world back to itself no cost,
No past, no people else at all
Only what meeting made us feel,
So new, and gentle-sharp, and strange?”
—Philip Larkin (1922–1986)
“She hears me strike the board and say
That she is under ban
Of all good men and women,
Being mentioned with a man
That has the worst of all bad names.”
—William Butler Yeats (1865–1939)
