2007 MTV Europe Music Awards

2007 was the 14th MTV European Music Awards, taking place at the Olympiahalle in Munich with hip-hop legend Snoop Dogg as host. The show attracted 78 million votes, the biggest in MTV Europe Music Awards history.

The Foo Fighters opened the show and front man Dave Grohl hosted the VIP Glamour Pit area, interviewing celebrities live on air. Other performances on the night came from a blurry-eyed Amy Winehouse who sang her way through "Back to Black" and Tokio Hotel performed under raining water. will.i.am paired up with Nicole Scherzinger from The Pussycat Dolls to perform their duet "Baby Love". Pete Doherty surprised his critics by being on great form for the whole show in preparation for his performance with The Babyshambles.

The Free Your Mind award went to Anton Abele for his single-handed campaign against street violence.

Presenters on the night included Joss Stone, model Lily Cole, R.E.M.'s Michael Stipe and F1 driver Lewis Hamilton who was romantically linked with Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger from that night.

Avril Lavigne perform and was the big winner of the night.
