Famous quotes containing the words differences, tour and/or france:

The country is fed up with children and their problems. For the first time in history, the differences in outlook between people raising children and those who are not are beginning to assume some political significance. This difference is already a part of the conflicts in local school politics. It may spread to other levels of government. Rutherford Birchard Hayes (1822–1893)

America was too big to have been discovered all at one time. It would have been better for the graces if it had been discovered in pieces of about the size of France or Germany at a time.
    Samuel Butler (1835–1902)
