The 1975 Pittsburgh Pirates season was the 89th in the history of the franchise. The Pirates' 92-69 record was good enough to win their fifth National League East title in six seasons by 6½ games over their cross-state rivals, the Philadelphia Phillies. The Pirates, however, lost the National League Championship Series to the Cincinnati Reds, three games to none.
