1964 The Tribute - Members

Members

The members of the group decided which member would portray which Beatle based on the instrument played. "I was a guitarist, so the natural thing was the John or the George character," says Tom Work, who portrays George Harrison. "The way I got into it was, the fellow playing John Lennon joined a band that was a local Beatles tribute act. This was around 1981. After about a year, he got his buddy to join and play Paul, and I was friends with him. About a year later, he got me to join and play George." The complete lineup includes:

Mark Benson: as John Lennon
Graham Alexander: as Paul McCartney
Tom Work: As George Harrison
Bobby Potter: As Ringo Starr

Gary Grimes, the original Paul McCartney for the band, died after a long battle with brain cancer in 2010.

Famous quotes containing the word members:

Sometimes the best way to keep peace in the family is to keep the members of the family apart for awhile.
    Franklin D. Roosevelt (1882–1945)

For splendor, there must somewhere be rigid economy. That the head of the house may go brave, the members must be plainly clad, and the town must save that the State may spend.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

I have more in common with a Mexican man than with a white woman.... This opinion ... chagrins women who sincerely believe our female physiology unequivocally binds all women throughout the world, despite the compounded social prejudices that daily affect us all in different ways. Although women everywhere experience life differently from men everywhere, white women are members of a race that has proclaimed itself globally superior for hundreds of years.
    Ana Castillo (b. 1953)
