1936 Masters Tournament

The 1936 Masters Tournament was contested from April 3 to April 6 at Augusta National Golf Club. It was the third Masters Tournament. The purse was $5,000.

Due to adverse weather conditions, the first round of play was postponed until Friday. Sunday's play was also postponed and the third and fourth rounds were played on Monday.

Horton Smith sank a 50-foot chip-in for birdie at the 14th hole, and a follow-up birdie at the 15th hole to win the tournament for the second time.
