Winner André Leducq kept riding the Tour de France until 1938, but he never managed to win again, although he had three more stage victories. In total, he won 25 Tour de France stages, that was a record until it was broken by Eddy Merckx. Since then, only Bernard Hinault has won more than 25 stage victories.
