1923 NSWRFL Season
The 1923 New South Wales Rugby Football League premiership was the sixteenth season of Sydney's top-level rugby league football club competition, Australia's first. Nine teams from across the city contested during the season which culminated in Eastern suburbs' victory over South Sydney in the premiership final.
The 1923 season was the last season that future Australian Rugby League Hall of Fame inductee Duncan Thompson played in.
Famous quotes containing the word season:
“The morning, which is the most memorable season of the day, is the awakening hour. Then there is least somnolence in us; and for an hour, at least, some part of us awakes which slumbers all the rest of the day and night.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
