Recent Deployment
From 1962 to June 2011, the 13e DBLE duty station had been within Djibouti in the Horn of Africa. In June 2011 the unit was withdrawn from Djibouti to be redeployed permanently in the Abu Dhabi base, United Arab Emirates, as a result of a defense cooperation agreement with France.
