Yugi Mutou (武藤 遊戯, Mutō Yūgi?, spelled "Muto" pronounced "Moto" in the English dubbed anime) is the protagonist of the manga and anime series Yu-Gi-Oh!. He is a young boy whose body becomes inhabited by the spirit of an Ancient Egyptian pharaoh named Atem (アテム, Atemu?) when he completes the Millennium Puzzle.
