Vincent Mentzel was born on 28 September 1945 in Hoogkarspel in the Netherlands and is a Dutch photographer, who was knighted by Queen Beatrix of The Netherlands in 2007 for his contributions to photography. He lives and works in Rotterdam, is married and has a daughter.
