The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) is a state research university in San Antonio, Texas, United States. It is the largest university in San Antonio, the third-largest of the nine academic institutions in the University of Texas System and the eighth-largest in the state of Texas. It has three campuses with over 747 acres of land and 30,968 students, offering 133 undergraduate, 51 graduate and 24 doctoral programs. In 2012, it was selected by Times Higher Education as one of the best universities in the world under 50 years old.

UTSA serves the San Antonio metropolitan area and the South Texas region through three campuses: the Main Campus, the Downtown Campus in Downtown San Antonio, and the HemisFair Park Campus (Institute of Texan Cultures). The Main Campus, located about 15 miles northwest of Downtown San Antonio, is on 600 acres (2.4 km2), at the intersection of Interstate 10 and Loop 1604 near the northwestern edge of the city of San Antonio, in Bexar County.
