History
The Council was formed in 1946. The Council Chamber was initially located in the Zhongshan Hall. The Council moved to a site on Chung-hsiao West Road on August 3, 1964. The current Council building is located in the History Project Area of Taipei. It was inaugurated on October 8, 1990.
