Seoul National University Station

Seoul National University Station is a station on the Seoul Subway Line 2, located in Bongcheon-dong, Gwanak-gu of southern Seoul. This station is also known as Gwanak-gu Office Station. There are eight exits, two at each corner of the crossroads - of Nambu Beltway (Nambusunhwan-ro) and Gwanak-ro - where the station lies beneath.

Seoul National University Station has one curved island platform, which is constructed wider at the middle and narrower at each end. The platform screen doors were installed for both tracks within 2006. Escalators are available between the platform and the waiting/ticketing area. Although the name of the station says Seoul National University Station, it takes more than thirty minutes on foot from the station to the university.

In the The Amazing Race 4, teams had to find this station (which was labeled only as Station 228) to obtain the next route marker.

Famous quotes containing the words national, university and/or station:

In really hard times the rules of the game are altered. The inchoate mass begins to stir. It becomes potent, and when it strikes,... it strikes with incredible emphasis. Those are the rare occasions when a national will emerges from the scattered, specialized, or indifferent blocs of voters who ordinarily elect the politicians. Those are for good or evil the great occasions in a nation’s history.
    Walter Lippmann (1889–1974)

Poetry presents indivisible wholes of human consciousness, modified and ordered by the stringent requirements of form. Prose, aiming at a definite and concrete goal, generally suppresses everything inessential to its purpose; poetry, existing only to exhibit itself as an aesthetic object, aims only at completeness and perfection of form.
Richard Harter Fogle, U.S. critic, educator. The Imagery of Keats and Shelley, ch. 1, University of North Carolina Press (1949)

...I believe it is now the duty of the slaves of the South to rebuke their masters for their robbery, oppression and crime.... No station or character can destroy individual responsibility, in the matter of reproving sin.
    Angelina Grimké (1805–1879)
