Food and Drink

Most red foods derive from one of two sources. Red meat gets its color from the iron found in the myoglobin and hemoglobin in the muscles and residual blood.

Famous quotes containing the words food and, food and/or drink:

Arguably the only goods people need these days are food and nappies.
    Terence, Sir Conran (b. 1931)

The repugnance to animal food is not the effect of experience, but is an instinct. It appeared more beautiful to live low and fare hard in many respects; and though I never did so, I went far enough to please my imagination.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

    I’ll
vacuum up my stale hair, I’ll
pay all my neighbors’ bad debts, I’ll
write a poem called Yellow and put
my lips down to drink it up....
    Anne Sexton (1928–1974)
