Geography

Peekskill is located at 41°17′N 73°55′W / 41.283°N 73.917°W / 41.283; -73.917 (41.2889, -73.9200) in northwestern Westchester County.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 5.5 square miles (14 km2), of which, 4.3 square miles (11 km2) of it is land and 1.1 square miles (2.8 km2) of it (20.99%) is water. The city is bordered by the town of Cortlandt, New York and the Hudson River. Peekskill is drained by Peek's Creek.
