New World Wine

New World wines are those wines produced outside the traditional wine-growing areas of Europe and the Middle East, in particular from Argentina, Australia, Canada, Chile, New Zealand, South Africa and the United States.

Famous quotes containing the words world and/or wine:

There were never in the world two opinions alike, any more than two hairs or two grains. Their most universal quality is diversity.
    Michel de Montaigne (1533–1592)

I sat at a table where were rich food and wine in abundance, and obsequious attendance, but sincerity and truth were not; and I went away hungry from the inhospitable board. The hospitality was as cold as the ices. I thought that there was no need of ice to freeze them.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
