Little Russia

Little Russia is a concentration of Russian-speaking immigrants along Geary Boulevard between 17th and 27th Avenues, in the Richmond District 1, San Francisco, CA 94121 -94118 between " Russian Cathedral of Holy Virgin" on 27th avenue and " Russian Renaissance" restaurant on 17th avenue, both established in the 1920s. The term is in local unofficial use. It is a heart of San Francisco 80,000 Russian Americans. The neighborhood was established in the 1920s, with subsequent arrivals in the 1940s, 1950s (from China and Philippines ) and the "Third Wave" in 1970s and 1980s. Additional limited immigration took place after the breakup of Soviet Union in 1990s and 2000s. Located in Richmond District.
